Puppet Volcano cover!!!, originally uploaded by Jeremy Gregory. Yes! My first published 3-D puppet illustration. The Halloween cover of the Volcano. I just asked Ron Swarner about doing the cover with these puppets that I have been obsessing on. I told him I had a Zombie puppet that I had just used for the Artbus buttons and asked if he would be interested in a photo/ 3-D illustration for the cover and he agreed. I text Jason Ganwich and asked him if he would be interested in taking the photo, but we only had one day. He said yes and that it sounded like fun. Later he told me it was just because my puppet was so awesome. He said if the puppet wasn’t so good he would have told me to F*%# off! He came over and it was one of the most fun experiences ever.

I find that these tutorials are fun and easy to follow. Also, they give you all the resources such as sample artwork and such. I think it’s cool because you can easily expand your Photoshop abilities and these also spark new ideas and techniques that you may not have thought of before.

We just wanted to say thank you to all of our fans that made it out to Electric Tea Garden last Friday for our annual all female art show! So, today I was walking through Queen Anne in Seattle and I spotted a mural that was completed by 179…I’m not sure who else. I instantly recognized 179s style. Check out some of 179s new work at our all female art show on dec 30th at Electric Tea Garden in Seattle WA located at 14th and Pike

I am very excited for this upcoming show on Dec 30th at Electric Tea Garden. We have a great lineup of artists and the legendary NAHA will be headlining the music set from 1-2am.

Once a year we put on an all female art show where all the artists are female. We do this to support women in the arts and these events are always awesome! So come out and join us for an amazing night!!

Opening on Nov 9th at SSCC Art Gallery from 12pm – 2 pm the artist Nicole DeMent will be on hand for an artist discussion. I think that this is awesome because it is my birthday and I will be one of the featured pieces of art called:
