So, last Saturday we had a show at Jazzbones in Tacoma and it was packed! I had tons of fun running around taking pictures of all the performers and people. The energy was amazing and in my opinion the vibe was even more amazing. From what I saw, everyone had a grin on their face and a drink in their hand. The main act was Lifecycle and this was a party for their new Grounded EP–Free Download Here. I also did the cover photography for the Lifecycle EP. I’ve been trying to figure out when I first met Pete. I think it was back in ‘03 or ‘04. I’m glad to say we’ve become close over the years and since we first met I’ve seen Jacob Peter Brown McGowin aka Whiskey Pete progress with his style of emceeing and perfecting his ability to bring the party to you. I don’t even know where to begin on how much he’s done over the years because there’s so much. I must say, over this past year he’s been making some major moves as an emcee and getting his name on just about everything. This guy is literally EVERYWHERE! LA local and resident of two weeklies, Trust Saturdays and House Fridays, this guy is making things happen and changing the vibe of the party with every breath. If you’ve already been turned on to him or if you’re a first time listener, boy do I have a treat for you…

I’ve got Whiskey Pete’s first ever interview and I’m really happy to be able to present it to all of you. Artifakt Signature Gallery

This Saturday is our newest monthly event. The event is the Artifakt Signature Gallery at Kristos on Eastlake in Seattle–3218 Eastlake Ave E Seattle, WA 98102. Above is a photo that I took at the last Signature show. These events are a little bit different than our usual events. The Signature Gallery is in a more upscale atmosphere and they are also all ages. We start the night at 7pm and go till Midnight–and there is no cover. During the night we feature artwork from several different artists while DJ’s provide quality sound for a nice atmosphere. At Kristos the artwork is upstairs and the bar is downstairs. If you have not yet been to Kristos, Saturday night would be a perfect introduction. Kristos also has a specialty drink list and excellent food. I really like this venue and I am glad that the Artifakt Signature Shows have such an awesome spot to display artwork at.

Artifakt is going to be bringing him along with a couple other heavy weights (Antiserum & Whiskey Pete MC) out on September 12th for our 3 yr Anniversary Party @ Nectar. I hit Art Crimes every month for the updates and this month was really good. For those of you that have never been to the site it covers the whole globe down to each city and shows you up and coming websites, blogs, graffiti writers and more. I’ve been checking this site out for 13+ years now at least. So if you’re in to graffiti, street art, design and wanna get lost for a couple of hours you should definitely check out this site…
